Its hard to believe, but Jimmy is almost 8 months now! The past few weeks have been full of surprises and changes, both good and bad. One of the harder surprises was finding out from the doctor that Jimmy might be allergic to either dairy or tree nuts. (probably tree nuts) This was especially a sad surprise for me because that means I can't eat those things for a while! But the good news is that Jimmy is doing much better and is now (just now!) beginning to digest solid foods just fine.
Jimmy has given us some fun surprises recently too! He now has 3 teeth and is working on 4,5, AND6! You can see the next three just ready to pop through. While this has not always been fun (like when he wakes up crying at three in the morning) it is so sweet to see him with his teeth and can't wait to see his smile when the others come through.

The biggest surprise and change in the past weeks has been Jimmy's new mobility! It started with scooting on his tummy, then went to pushing himself backwards (he could go pretty far doing this!) and just yesterday turned into crawling forward! He is very excited and proud of his new ability to check things out and I definitely am going to have to keep a much closer eye on him!
The last surprise is that I noticed Jimmy was getting pretty snug in his pumpkin car seat so I checked the manual for the weight and height limits on it. Unfortunately Jimmy has already exceeded both! So now Jimmy is in a big boy car seat and definitely thinks he is very cool....too bad I can't bring it into the grocery store with me though :(
He's also sitting in his high chair at meal times! He thinks he owns the place....
Of course, Jimmy's favorite thing to do is read the Bible to his Dad...what a great kid.
